Learn a Thing or Two About

B.R.A.V.E. PET SERVICES

B.R.A.V.E. Pet Services LLC was founded in November of  2018 as B.R.A.V.E. Dog Training LLC by Wyatt Regner, CPDT-KA, SDC in Leesburg, VA. Since then, B.R.A.V.E. relocated to Charlottesville, VA and expanded to offer service and therapy dog training. We now serve clients nationally through our online academy and in person in the Charlottesville and Richmond, Virginia area.

Care for the physical and psychological well being of animals is at the core of what we do. We also understand that many behavioral issues in dogs arise as a result of poor communication. Our professionally trained and certified instructors are here to guide you toward a more cooperative relationship between you and your pet. Through training and client education, we strive to help you and your pet enjoy more of what life has to offer, together.

We approach each of the services we offer through the lens of positive reinforcement training, constantly striving to create more mutually beneficial interactions between humans and animals. At B.R.A.V.E., our clients learn to achieve the highest level of skill and cooperation without the use of force, fear, or intimidation. We rely on the same methods used to train zoo animals, from big cats to prairie dogs. These techniques are based on the most current studies of animal psychology and learning theory and are used by leading experts in the field, such as Ken Ramirez, Pat Miller, and Kathy Sdao. The way we see it, if an undomesticated polar bear can be trained to cooperatively participate in veterinary care and if a sea lion can perform in a theatrical production for thousands of people, then we can surely use these same methods to train your highly domesticated dog to walk on a leash, participate in grooming, stop barking at the neighbors, assist individuals with disabilities, and so much more.

Our enthusiastic pet professionals are excited to work with you! We genuinely enjoy collaborating with our clients to formulate plans that work well for both you and your pet. We do not follow a one-size-fits-all approach because we recognize that the needs of each person and animal differ. Contact us today to see how we might be able to assist you.
